Kitchen Classics Featured on Winnetka and Kenilworth Home Tours
(Wilmette IL May 27, 2011) The month of May has been very busy for Kitchen Classics, with two kitchen projects selected for North Shore charity home tour events. First, on May 6, The Junior League of Evanston-North Shore hosted “Designer Kitchens of the North Shore” which featured a Country French kitchen by Kitchen Classics incorporated into a historic Jerome Cerny home restoration. The history of the house, the dramatic “before and after” photos, the attention to detail and incredible craftsmanship, and the warm ambiance of the custom woodwork were highlights of this restoration project.
In the second event, the Winnetka Woman’s Club “Lifestyles” house walk held on May 18, Kitchen Classics showcased a sleek white contemporary kitchen in a Kenilworth home. The soaring ceilings and crisp rhythm of the cabinets made this kitchen a stand out on the tour.
While these two kitchens could not be more different in design, tour participants found each to blend seamlessly with the architecture of the home, and praised the space, function, innovation and timeless appeal of these cook’s kitchens.
“It was very rewarding to be a part of these wonderful events. Both the Junior League and Winnetka Woman’s Club perform important service work. We are proud to support these organizations and are grateful that we could participate and help each of them to achieve their goals,” says Chuck Heller, owner of Kitchen Classics.
